Apple's Weekend Runs Apple's favorite activity is running. His running route depends on where his running buddy takes him. He runs non-stop - unless he is off-leash and meets an interesting dog, picks up an intriguing scent, or stops for marking a tree or pole. If he stops he will then scoot to catch up with his running buddy. He usually runs at daybreak when the sun is not yet up in the sky and it is not too hot. His speed is determined by his running buddy and is usually a little under 10 kmph. On his own he could probably run much faster. He is an all-weather runner and has run in pouring rain during the monsoons. He started running long distance in Mahalakshmi Race Course in early 2008 when he would take one or two rounds of the race track (each round being 2.2 km); and graduated quickly (along with his running buddy) to running 10K+ in late 2008. His 14.2 km run is from Nariman Point to Haji Ali (route shown in Orange); and back. His 12.5 km run is Nariman Point to Haji Ali; and then onto Chaitanya Towers in Prabhadevi where he lives (route shown in Red). |
